Ombudsman
The position of the Ä¢¹½Ä¢¹½ Ombudsman was created as part of UNA’s effort toward resolving complaints and conflicts confidentially on an informal level (when appropriate) before they can become more serious cases of grievance requiring a formal judicial process.
The Ä¢¹½Ä¢¹½ Ombudsman is an advocate of collegial relationships and a confidential and informal resource for anyone with a complaint or grievance against the university, its division/unit, employee or student. Acting as a neutral party with independent authority free of conflicts of interests, the Ä¢¹½Ä¢¹½ Ombudsman provides an internal avenue toward resolving complaints, conflicts and grievances through involvement of concerned parties, facilitating communications between them, and assisting them to develop and rebuild a collegial relationship of trust.
The Ä¢¹½Ä¢¹½ Ombudsman’s office is located in room 230 of Guillot Ä¢¹½Ä¢¹½ Center.
