Alabama Higher Education Science of Reading Symposium
The Ä¢¹½Ä¢¹½ Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences will host the Alabama Higher Education Science of Reading Symposium February 4-5, 2026 at the UNA Guillot Ä¢¹½Ä¢¹½ Center. Keynotes and presenters will share innovative practices in preparing teacher candidates to implement the science of reading and will facilitate thoughtful discourse related to science-based literacy instruction among the state's higher education faculty. Concurrent sessions will include science-based research, course design, course content, assessment and collaboration with P-12 partnerships to embed highly effective field experiences.
